The event brought together more than 300 banking professionals and senior executives for an opportunity to hear from experts in the international banking industry, and participate in panel discussions with key stakeholders of the Cypriot world of finance. The event was designed to present and discuss the latest developments in the banking sector, as well as provide a commentary on the ever-challenging and ever-changing banking ecosystem we live in. Topics of discussion included the Evolution of the Banking Ecosystem, and Leveraging on Disruptive Technologies.
Louis Eliades, Logicom Solutions Global Business Solutions and Services Director, was accompanied by Marios Limnios, Managing Director of Accenture in Greece, a Logicom Solutions partner, to present Design Thinking. The pair discussed Digital Transformation and its two axes Go Digital, which deals with how organizations approach the market and their customers, and Be Digital, which deals with the transformation of an organizations inner workings. In particular, they discussed the often overlooked aspect of reskilling the workforce to move into new ways of working, namely Design Thinking.
Logicom Solutions also hosted a guest speaker at the event, Mr. Marios Maratheftis, International Chief Economist. Mr. Maratheftis most recently held the position of Global Chief Strategist for Standard Chartered Bank in London, and is a member of the Stern Steward Institute in Germany. His presentation, Trends in the World Economy and what they mean for Cyprus, gave an overview of what the Cyprus banking sector can expect in 2018.
